Introducing TestRelic AI: AI-Driven Analytics for Engineering Teams

Sarah ChenFebruary 4, 20265 min read

Today we are excited to announce TestRelic AI — an AI-driven engineering testing platform purpose-built for engineering teams running Playwright.

For the past year our team has been working closely with AI testing teams at startups, fintech companies, and enterprise organizations. One theme kept coming up: test data is everywhere, but insight is nowhere. Teams collect millions of test results per month, yet when something breaks the first instinct is still to open a CI log and start scrolling.

TestRelic AI changes that. By combining an OpenTelemetry-native ingestion pipeline with purpose-built AI analysis, we turn raw Playwright results into categorized failures, trend reports, and actionable recommendations — in seconds, not hours.

What makes TestRelic AI different

**AI-first analysis.** Every test result passes through our ML pipeline. Failures are automatically categorized as infrastructure, application, test-code, or flaky — with confidence scores and explanations.

**Natural language queries.** Instead of writing complex filter expressions, ask questions in plain English: "Which checkout tests have been flaky this week?" TestRelic AI translates your question into a precise query and returns the answer.

**Playwright-native.** Our reporter is a drop-in addition to your playwright.config.ts. Traces, screenshots, and videos are correlated automatically — click any failure to jump straight into the Playwright trace viewer.

**Voice AI.** During standup or triage, speak your question. TestRelic AI responds with a spoken summary and a visual answer on screen.

Getting started

Install the reporter, add one line to your config, and run your suite. Results appear in TestRelic AI within seconds. The Starter plan at $5/month is a great fit for most growing teams, and you can try the Growth plan free for 14 days.

We cannot wait to see what you build with TestRelic AI. Sign up at app.testrelic.ai and let us know what you think.
